So we’ll be the first to admit that we’re big fans of Kevin Smith and his films and the story of how he funded his first Clerks film by maxxing out his credit cards and shooting in the store where he was working is the stuff of legend. Since then he’s gone on to huge success and it all comes full circle with the release of the Clerks III trailer the (potentially) last part of this trilogy.

Following a massive heart attack, Randal enlists his friends and fellow clerks Dante, Elias, Jay, and Silent Bob to make a movie immortalizing his life at the convenience store that started it all.  Clerks III reunites Brian O’Halloran, Jeff Anderson and Jason Mewes with Trevor Fehrman (Clerks II) and Rosario Dawson (Death Proof, Sin City, Marvel’s Daredevil) and of course Smith himself returns to play Silent Bob.

It’s certainly continues the autobiographical nature of his films as Smith himself suffered an almost fatal heart attack himself necessitating a complete lifestyle change (he’s now vegetarian for a start) though he’s still as outspoken and frank about the Hollywood machine as ever which has endeared him to a legion of fans

Clerks III is in cinemas from 16th September 2022

Here’s the Clerks III trailer………….and we weren’t even supposed to be working today!
