So with Creed earning 5 times what it cost to make a sequel was assured and we gave a hint of what to expect when we ran a piece on it here a little while ago.Well now the Creed 2 trailer is finally here and we think it looks pretty good.
The first film earned Oscar nominations although whenever we hear Stallone as Rocky it always sounds like he’s taken one too many hits to the head.
Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone reprise their roles of Adonis Creed and Rocky Balboa respectively in the film which Steven Caple Jr. is directing. After the first film Jordan went on to star in Black Panther which went on to earn $1.3billion making it one of 2018’s biggest films so far. Stallone was Oscar nominated for Creed and we would have liked to see him win but he lost out to Mark Rylance for Bridge of Spies. Director Steven Caple Jr previous work has been in TV series and this is his feature film directing debut.
Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. This time he’s facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. The Creed 2 trailer has a very interesting reveal at the end as to who the opposing boxer will be.
Also glimpsed in the creed 2 trailer is Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Dolph Lundgren, Florian Munteanu, Woof Harris, Andre Ward, and Russell Hornsby co-star.
“Creed II” is released in the U.S. on November 21st and in the UK on the 30th November 2018.
