director Kevin Allen talks team spirit whilst filming 'La Cha Cha'

Kevin Allen is an actor but he also a director having helmed the cult film, ‘Twin Town’ a kind of Welsh answer to Trainspotting and has been directing a diverse array of projects ever since. His latest film is ‘La Cha Cha’ a film shot on a mobile phone during the pandemic lockdown and stars his brother Keith Allen as well as Rhys Ifans and Dougray Scott plus a host of great Welsh actors too

La Cha Cha follows Solti Buttering (Liam Hourican) who is on a road trip to scatter his grandfathers ashes. Finding everywhere closed, he stumbles across La Cha Cha, a holiday park with a community of retired characters, living off grid and having the time of their lives. He soon discovers that feisty owner Libby Rees (Ruby Ashbourne Serkis) and her brother Damien (Sonny Ashbourne Serkis) are struggling to keep the place, and community, going. But they have a very unusual plan.

We got to chat with Kevin Allen about the circumstance of filming and he spoke about the community spirit that quickly evolved between the cast members here’s what he said….
