Fans of hockey masked, mother fixated, lake lurching lunatic could get the chance to be in the next in the Friday 13th franchise.
With it being about 8 years since jolly Jason Voorhees went on a slice and dice fest at Camp Crystal Lake it looks like Platinum Dunes are set to make another new film later this year and if the company get it altogether filming could be starting as soon as March.
Rumour has it that this next one will be a retelling of the origin of Jason and that is what the first casting call is about. So if this description sounds like you this could be your big break:
[YOUNG JASON] – Male, Caucasian, 12 years old ONLY SEEKING IDENTICAL TWINS W/ TV AND FILM CREDITS. MUST BE UNDER 5 FOOT. NO EXCEPTIONS. Lengthy and awkward. A dark, ominous child, who has severe psychological issues. Must have a very electric and expressive face (you will be painting the scene with your facial expressions), as this role does not speak. YOUNG JASON will grow into the psycho-killer JASON. SUPPORTING ROLE. (Unfortunately) You must be based in ATLANTA, USA.
Personally we think the Editor’s kids fit the description (‘You’re fired!’ -Ed).
Directing the film will be Breck Eisner who did ‘The Crazies’ remake a few years ago though whether the film will actually happen is anyone’s guess as the film has been meaning to go into production for quite a while now.
