Well after all the negative publicity over the past year we finally have the No Time to Die trailer which will be the 25th Bond film and Daniel Craig’s last film as super spy 007.
From the No Time to Die trailer it seems that James Bond is living a tranquil retirement life in Jamaica but it is interrupted when Felix Leiter, his friend from the US government, shows up and asks for help to rescue a kidnapped scientist. It’s this request that puts Bond on the trail of a mysterious villain (Rami Malek) armed with dangerous new technology. Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, Ana De Armas, David Dencik and Lashana Lynch co-star.
The franchise’s long-running producer Barbara Broccoli recently about the film and she explains why she’s so excited about the story this time out:
“We always start off these movies saying two things. One is, ‘What is Bond’s emotional journey throughout the film?’ And we’ve really thrown the book at it on this one. And the other is, ‘What is he up against in terms of the villain, and the villainy, and what’s happening in the world?’ And I think on both counts we’ve really pushed the boat out.”
Now in fairness we think most fans of the franchise are wholly indifferent to, ‘Bond’s emotional journey‘ but perhaps this is an actor thing to draw Craig back to the role one final time. Whatever, the trailer looks pretty goo with the motorbike stunt being a standout an it notable that Rami Malek is mostly absent form it and our Editor is besotted with Ana De Armas and we would have like to see more of her.
“No Time to Die” opens April 2nd in the UK and April 8th in the United States.
