With the exception of this years ‘Baywatch‘, Dwayne Johnson is proving to be a major box office draw with appearance in the Fast & Furious 8 being so popular that he’s likely to get his own spin off with Jason Statham.
He’s got a huge raft of films coming out over the next couple of years with the remake of ‘Jumanji’ being first. But here’s a trailer for a full on monster movie, ‘Rampage’ based almost inevitably on the 1986 video game.
Johnson plays primatologist Davis Okoye who shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.
Co starring with the Rock is the gorgeous Malin Akerman (Misconduct) & Marley Shelton and the film opens in the US on 20th April 2018 and in the UK on 13th April 2018.
