Whilst Principal photography began back in late July last year on the first of the anthology film series some of the production team on ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ are back at work for a few weeks’ worth of re-shoots. It stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Genevieve O’Reilly, Riz Ahmed and Diego Luna and is directed by Gareth Edwards from a screenplay by Chris Weitz and is reportedly set before Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
Locations used included Canary Wharf with reports of exterior filming at Pymmes Park, Edmonton. Iceland and Jordan also hosted filming stints. The second in the anthology series, the as-yet-untitled Han Solo feature, is in the very early stages of pre-production, with filming based once again in the UK. Dates have yet to be set, but principal photography is not likely to get underway for several months. Alden Ehrenreich, who recently completed filming The Yellow Birds and who also appeared in Hail, Caesar! is lined up to star as the young Han with our Editor as a young Jabba the Hut ( You’re fired!- Ed)
