Next year we can expect Spiderman reboot 3.0 with Tom Holland in the role who proved to be so good in this years Captain America movie.
It seems like Sony may take a leaf out of the Harry Potter franchise in so far as the films were almost one a year following Harry in each successive school year whereas in the original Sam Raimi Spiderman trilogy Peter Parker leapt from schoolboy to fiance in 3 films.
This Tom Holland version, which is now part of the Marvel universe, it seems will try and keep him in school for as long as possible in a ‘one school year per film’ set up.
Head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige has said: ”Should we be able to make more after that? Sure. This is sophomore year, is the next one junior year? Is the next one senior year? Is there a summer break between each of those? I don’t know what, but it was sort of how do we do a journey for Peter not dissimilar for what the students of Hogwarts would go through each of their years, which was one of the early ideas we had for the movies.”
