Win a copy of action thriller, ‘Age of Shadows’…….EXPIRED

.......this time they were determined to win at the village fete shooting gallery......

Here’s your chance to win ‘Age of Shadows’ one of our favourite films this year.

Based on real incidents and people, Korean director Kim Jee-woon brings the story of Hwang Ok’s 1923 police headquarters bombing to the screen. During the Japanese occupation, a group of freedom fighters smuggle explosives to destroy facilities controlled by the Japanese forces. A group of resistance fighters led by the leader’s second in command try to bring in explosives from Shanghai to destroy key Japanese facilities in Seoul. It’s a game of cat-and-mouse as it’s up to a Korean-born Japanese police officer to infiltrate the resistance at all costs by befriending an antique dealer who’s involved in the plot but never exposed. With its inventive action set pieces and a complex story AGE OF SHADOWS is hugely rewarding in its lavish design, visual flair and satisfying ending.

This has stunning set pices including the opening roof top chase, a brilliant scene aboard a train and a climactic sequence set to Ravel’s Bolero which for once doesn’t feature Torvill & Dean ice skating to it.
