It’s not the first time he’s played one but Tom Hanks, having played a Captain of the sea (‘Captain Phillips’), is now playing a Captain of the air in Clint Eastwood’s new film, ‘Sully’ the true life story of the pilot who, on January 15, 2009, glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. Looks like he’s playing his usual heroic Everyman character but Tom Hanks is always good value (although he’s starting to look a little like Richard Dreyfuss in this) and Eastwood is still at the top of his game and this is a decent trailer to whet the appetite until September when it’s released.
