Director Kathryn Bigelow is the only woman to have won the Best Director Oscar (for The Hurt Locker) and is a stand out film maker often making films in typically macho genres and her new film, ‘Detroit’ looks like truly incendiary stuff.
It stars two great young British actors, Will Poulter and John Boyega, and follows the true story of a 1967 police raid that goes badly awry leading to an enormous civil uprising.
No release date as yet for the UK but opens in the US on August 4th.
