Starting back in 2010 The Expendables was a great idea to gather those old school action stars in some old school action and was a big hit making $274m off an $80m budget and two further sequels followed. But it has been eleven years since the last film and Stallone Arnie and Willis are all significantly older and in Willis case medically retired. So we now have a fourth film handily if a little clumsily titled Expend4bles and we now have a first look at the Expend4bles trailer.
A new generation of stars join the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in Expend4bles. Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are joined for the first time by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia. Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defence and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.
The cast includes Jason Statham, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Randy Couture, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, with Andy Garcia and Sylvester Stallone. And therein might lie the problem because previous films have included Jean Claude Van Damme, Mel Gibson, Chuck Norris, Harrison Ford et al and only missed Steven Seagal presumably because her was focusing on eating in order to turn himself into a human space hopper for any live film adaptation of the toy
