Well its been a pretty grim year for everyone especially our those who have been in the front line and by that we mean everyone from NHS doctor’s and nurses in the Covid 19 ICU’s to the staff manning up the tills at the supermarkets. As a way of a thank you our friends at Pop Up Screens have come up with a fantastic and incredibly generous idea for free seats for essential workers to one of their Christmas film screenings.
Independent cinema Pop Up Screens is back this winter, taking over Peckham’s popular Copeland Park and Bussey Building with ‘Cinema in the Snow’ – and to spread some much needed Christmas cheer they’re giving away 200 seats to essential workers!!!!!!!
The festive-themed cinema will kick off as soon as Lockdown lifts on 03 December with Gremlins and feature new and classic movies like Elf, Love Actually, Last Christmas, Home Alone and The Holiday until 20 Dec.
To enter the lottery, essential workers (that’s health care and social professionals, those working in education, the postal services and in supermarkets, police and fire services and armed forces) need to fill in the sign up form which can be accessed here: https://mailchi.mp/popupscreens/frontline-workers-giveaway
Winners will be chosen at random and each will receive two tickets to a screening of their choice (the full T&C’s can be found below the sign-up form).
If you’re not an essential worker but still want to book, tickets (priced from £16) can be booked by visiting https://popupscreens.designmynight.com/
All COVID-19 safety precautions can be viewed HERE. Tickets will be refunded if events are cancelled due to COVID-19.
We think this is a fantastically generous offer by the guys at Pop Up Screens and a great way of saying thank you to all those at the forefront fighting the pandemic this year.
Please do share this page with any essential workers !!
