Jo Hartley talks mockumentary 'Swede Caroline' & Ricky Gervais!

Actress Jo Hartley fist came to attention with her roles in director Shane Meadows film ‘Dead Mans Shoes’ followed by This is England. Since then  her work has been wide and varied including coming of age film, ‘Sweetheart as well as roles in ‘Eddie the Eagle’ and ‘Prevenge’. But many will recognise her from her work in Ricky Gervais film ‘David Brent: Life on the Road’ and the three series of ‘After Life’.

Her latest film is the mockumentary, ‘Swede Caroline’ where the competitive giant vegetable growing world is rocked by scandal when up-and-coming prospect Caroline has her prized marrow plants stolen. Read our review HERE

We chatted with the very lovely Jo Hartley about the new film and the advice Ricky Gervais gave her along with how she speaks Japanese so fluently, producing the film and improvising.
