So we told you here a little about this quite some while ago but now we have the Spies in Disguise trailer starring Will Smith and Tom Holland both of whom have had a great year with the massive success of Aladdin and Spiderman Far from Home respectively.
The Spies in Disguise trailer has super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is… not. But what Walter lacks in social skills he makes up for in smarts and invention, creating the awesome gadgets Lance uses on his epic missions. But when events take an unexpected turn, Walter and Lance suddenly have to rely on each other in a whole new way. And if this odd couple can’t learn to work as a team, the whole world is in peril. “Spies in Disguise” is an animated comedy set in the high-octane globe-trotting world of international espionage.
This is Will Smith’s first animated film since 2004’s Shark Tale and his career seems to be back on the ascendant with Aladdin breaking the $1billion box office mark and Gemini Man looking like it will be a hit too. The Spies in Disguise trailer has a decent cast of supporting actors too with Karen Gillan whose carer since she left Dr Who and went to Hollywood has been impressive after starring in Guardians of the Galaxy films and Jumanji. Also appearing is DJ Khaled, now we’re not down with the kids but apparently he’s a big noise in the music business despite us mistaking him for a kebab shop owner and will be appearing in the upcoming Bad Boys for Life again with Will Smith.
The film opens in the US on Christmas Day and in the UK on Boxing Day 2019
