twenty years ago we had Garfield the first film to feature the sarky wise cracking, lasagne guzzling cat as voiced by Bill Murray whose voice was ideally suited for the character. Well now we have a reboot with the launch of The Garfield Movie trailer in what will be an all animated movie
Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
Beside Chris Pratt and Samuel L. Jackson co=voicing are Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein and Bowen Yang. And for fascinating fact fans Chris Pratt was born on June 21st, 1979, a year after the Garfield comic strip appeared in newspapers and two days after Garfield’s first birthday.
