As with the Marvel films the Star Wars films too have TV spin offs of which one of the most popular has undoubtedly been, The Mandalorian. Now though fans were crying out for a stand alone Boba Fett film which at present looks unlikely, The Mandalorian is probably as close as we will ever get with Pedro Pascal in the TV title role.
As created by writer – director Jon Favreau the travels of a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic had huge appeal. Favreau is a big deal at Diusney having helmed live action versions of The Jungle Book and the Lion King with them having earned $967m and $1.663b at the worldwide box office and so is regarded as a safe pair of hands. The Mandalorian launches its third season on 1st March 2023 and rumour has it that Favreau has already penned a fourth series.
We were privileged to be invited to a preview of the Mandalorian experience in London’s Piccadilly Circus where we got to meet a load of Mandalorian’s, order drinks from the cantina bar and listen to the live band, have a lightsabre fight with an incredibly camera that you effectively do battle with and gets in all manner of places without the need for editing or new camera set ups therefore immensely quickening the shooting process of action sequences ion the series and to top it all off there was a live Mandalorian experience forge where farriers banged out metal ingots and we got a chance to have a go too.
This was a free event when opened up to the public but tickets went extremely quickly so for those unable to attend here’s what you could expect when we were first through the doors for a preview….(remember to subscribe to the AnyGoodFilms youtube channel)
