With the UK announcing a huge relaxation on lockdown regulations the trailers are starting to come through an landing on our desk is The Nest trailer from IFC Films for the atmospheric family drama starring Jude Law and Carrie Coon.
Written and directed by Sean Durkin (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”) the film follows an entrepreneur (Law) who relocates his wife (Coon) and children to his native England, where both their ambitions and a heaping dose of backstabbing threaten to tear their marriage apart. There’s a rumbling tension as The Nest trailer progresses and perhaps this could be an awards contender.
Law is hot off the success of The New Pope and Captain Marvel and we would have seen Carrie Coon in Ghostbusters Afterlife if it wasn’t for the pandemic. The film did well at the Sundance Film Festival and which will hit cinemas on September 18th in the US with a UK release date to be confirmed.
