With Insidious 4 or ‘Insidious : The Last Key’ as its properly known now out (no review I’m afraid as it wasn’t shown to the UK press) the rumour of a crossover between the four film franchise and Sinister which had only two films.
the first films in both franchise performed very well for such small budgets but though Insidious sequels have done well the sequel to Sinister did less well.
Both were Blumhouse Productions who continue to make brilliant genre films and Jason Blumhouse was recently asked about the rumoured crossover and said,
‘I hope so. I want to. We almost did Insidious and Sinister and I still feel like we might do that so, I think so. I think we’re going to cross our worlds at some point. I don’t know how yet but we’re gonna try.’
So it’s on the cards and seeing as M Night Shyamalan is currently filming the Split & Unbreakable mashup then anything is possible
