With Portugal having won the recent Euro championship they returned home rightly feted as football supremo’s rising to the occasion when it really mattered and cheered by adoring crowds as ticker tape rained from the sky and rose petals were strewn before them on their open bus top tour of the capital.
For the English team it was a somewhat different matter as they once again proved what an overpaid shocking shower of shite they really are and frankly they too should have gone on an open bus top tour of London where the crowds could then freely and without impunity hurl abuse at them as they pelted the team, in the tradition of open air rock festivals, with stale bottles of urine. If nothing else it would certainly sharpen their instincts to at least try and win a game in future.
