The Learning You trailer drops….
After the success of ‘I Swear’ (and the BAFTA awards controversy) we get the ‘Learning You’ trailer a film that addresses another disability and the issues of a parent learning to care for his autistic son.
What the Learning You trailer is about?
Learning You is a heartfelt dramedy inspired by true events, following Ty Smith, a struggling architect and father, as he embarks on an impulsive road trip with his autistic son, Elijah. Seven years after a traumatic family Christmas and the collapse of his marriage, Ty is faced with a choice: surrender Elijah to the state or fight for connection, healing, and hope. Along the way, Ty is haunted and hilariously helped by Elijah’s imaginary companion, a life-sized version of his beloved stuffed bear, Nook. What begins as a desperate act becomes a journey of rediscovery, reminding viewers that joy, like family, often shows up in unexpected places.

Filled with laughter, heartbreak, and hope, Learning You is a powerful story of a father learning to truly see his son—and himself—for the first time. Learning You is produced and directed by Tyler Sansom, with a screenplay by J. Wayne Davidson, Justen Overlander (The Chosen), Sansom and Brad J. Silverman (Grace Unplugged).
