Since the very inception of cinema where the very first audiences watched and were quickly terrified of films featuring speeding trains thinking they were going to come out of the screen film makers have experimented with the format. So from black and white we had colour, from silent we had sound and from a 2D image we have had various incarnations of the 3D experience. But as technology advances and games and film merge we now have The Gallery, perhaps the first big screen interactive experience
The Gallery follows an art curator who is held hostage by a portraitist who threatens to detonate a bomb unless their demands are met. ‘The Gallery’ contains two interactive narratives – set in 1981 (with a female protagonist) and 2021 (with a male protagonist).
We went along and played the 2021 experience and afterwards we got to chat with writer / director Pail Raschid about the film and took us behind the scenes about all that was involved….
To see and experience the film yourself here’s details of where its playing but be quick!! https://www.aviaryfilms.co.uk/thegallerycinemarelease
