A couple of weeks ago we reported rumours of a new Ali G film. Well now we have the Ali G film details confirmed. Here’s what we know….
The Ali G film details confirmed…..
- The film is titled, “Ali G: Who Iz I?”, as unveiled by the comedian and Amazon MGM Studios.
- It will be released in cinemas on 23rd October 2026
- Sacha Baron Cohen has directed the movie which marks his feature film directorial debut.
- Cohen as Ali G said (via instagram), “Dey haz finally made a documentary about me,” he wrote in his exaggerated London rude boy slang. “And it ain’t dat crap one about da penguins, dis one haz got at least twice as much animal sex. ‘Ali G: Who Iz I?’ Cominatcha on 10.23 wotever dat means.”
- It has also been filmed under a shroud of secrecy like the 2020 ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm’ and completed filming recently – some of it was at the recent Wimbledon tennis tournament.
- It will go up against Warner Bros/DC’s Clayface and Sony’s Taika Waititi-directed Klara and the Sun starring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams.
What else we know……
So what is this new Ali G film about? Well at the moment nobody knows and for the production that’s just how they wanted it because the less advance of them making a film the better as it enabled Cohen and his crew to pull off his pranks and many have fallen victim most notably former NY Mayor Rudy Giuliani in the Borat sequel. Ali G’s victim in the past have included a pre-presidential Donald Trump and UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali amongst many others
With the cat now out of the bag its likely more will be revealed very quickly over the coming weeks and months
