Internationally acclaimed, award-winning actor Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess) returns to our screens for the fifth series of My Life is Murder, reprising her role as the fearless and brilliantly unapologetic private detective, Alexa Crowe in the hugely entertaining Australian-New Zealand crime drama and we have a copy to give away courtesy of Acorn Media International.
Series five introduces eight thrilling new cases featuring dangerous villains that only Alexa Crowe (Lawless) can catch, but as always, she brings her friends and family along for the ride. There’s tech whiz Madison (Ebony Vagulans – The Furies) who contributes her considerable IT know-how to the investigations and café owner Reuben (Joe Naufahu) is always there to lend a helping hand, plus Detective Harry (Rawiri Jobe) remains a steady ally.
The new series sees Alexa dive headfirst into a world of puzzling crime, from shady aquariums and elite cheerleading squads to creepy dolls and deadly island getaways. As buried secrets resurface, justice is never quite as simple as it seems, but one thing is certain – Alexa isn’t backing down. But catching killers isn’t her only unfinished business, as a reunion with former police partner Jesse (Craig Parker) leaves the headstrong sleuth questioning herself: could he be the one that got away?
