So we’ll be honest when the Polite Society trailer landed in our box we didn’t know anything about it and were maybe a little antipathetic but having watched it we cannot wait to see it. The trailer is immense with loads of influences and a cast who look like their loving every minute.
A merry mash up of sisterly affection, parental disappointment and bold action, POLITE SOCIETY follows martial artist-in-training Ria Khan who believes she must save her older sister Lena from her impending marriage. After enlisting the help of her friends, Ria attempts to pull off the most ambitious of all wedding heists in the name of independence and sisterhood.

Written and directed by Nida Manzoor the film stars Priya Kansara (best known for Bridgerton), Ritu Arya (Last Christmas) , Nimra Bucha (Ms Marvel), Akshay Khanna, Seraphina Beh, Ella Bruccoleri. There is a lot going on in this trailer and we had top watch it a couple of times to pick up on it all. Could this be the breakout hit of Spring?
