The huge success of The Exorcist led to that other 1970’s theological blockbuster horror The Omen which led to a string of increasingly poor sequels and a dreadful remake of the original but now we have a prequel with the release of The First Omen trailer.
The prequel follows a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, but encounters a darkness that causes her to question her faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.
A decent cast is led by Bill Nighy, Ralph Ineson and Sonia Braga with Nell Tiger Free in the lead role with the film being directed by Arkasha Stevenson who is also one of the three co-writers
The film is set for a 5th April release
