The Rise of the Footsoldier franchise continues apace with a glimpse of the seventh film with the release of the brutal and bloody Rise of the Footsoldier : Retribution trailer.
Pat Tate (Craig Fairbrass) heads to Ibiza to avenge his trusted friend’s murder, but gets entangled in a weapons trafficking operation headed by ruthless mercenaries (Tamer Hassan & Leo Gregory). To complicate the matter, the trafficking operation is also closely monitored by the CIA. Fuelled with rage, Tate is a killing machine with only revenge in mind. But when his mission disrupts the others’ high stake operations, Tate gets hunted by arms dealers, mercenaries, and American agents alike. A brutal fight for survival ensues, as Tate battles to be the last man standing.

From what we see here this promises to be as brutal and as action packed (and frankly sweary) as we’ve come to expect over the years from the franchise. Co starring alongside Craig Fairbrass ) is Tamer Hassan (The Business), Leo Gregory (Green Street), Jamie Foreman (Layer Cake), Jana Perez (Holmes and Watson), Ross McCall (Band of Brothers), Vincent Regan (300) and Phil Davis (Quadrophenia) and introducing Vanessa Bauer in her feature film debut. retribution is written by franchise regulars Andrew Loveday & Nick Nevern. who produce and direct respectively
The film was shot on location in Ibiza on November 2024 with further filming in the UK 2025 and looks to be the most ambitious film yet in the incredibly successful independent film franchise which each film being bigger in scope than the last.
