So after Ricky Gervais once again laid waste to Hollywood and its stars in the Golden Globe awards its now time for the only one that anyone really cares about, the Oscars. Not really any surprises here although there is the now annual wailing about lack of diversity which seems to overlook the praise and nominations being heaped on Parasite – although in fairness Greta Gerwig should have been nominated for Little Women. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that Joker leads the pack with 11 nominations above 1971, The Irishman & Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s ten nominations. After that it six noms a piece for Marriage Story, Parasite, Little Women & Jojo Rabbit whilst Ford v Ferrari has four. Anyway here’s the full list of Oscars 2020 nominations…….
