A film about serial killing cannibal bodybuilders was not on our bingo card this year but that’s exactly what we got with the release of, ‘Protein that sees a gym-obsessed serial killer murder and eats a local drug dealer for their protein, inadvertently sparking a brutal and bloodthirsty turf war between rival gangs.
It’s quite some film made on a small budget but with a great cast led by Craig Russell and directed by Tony Burke. We got to chat to them both about the film and just what was in those protein shakes that Craig guzzles throughout the film. They were great fun to chat to with a load of anecdotes especially about just who is the voice of one the gang members mum in the film.
