Oasis Live 25….
It is now a year since Oasis reformed for the first time in 16 years to perform in the Oasis Live 25 concerts that sold out in record time and now we have a documentary about what led up to it and the gigs themselves that started in Cardiff.
Written, directed and produced by BAFTA and Oscar nominee Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows) with co-directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace (Shut Up and Play the Hits, Meet Me in the Bathroom), the Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision documentary is presented by Disney+, featuring unprecedented access with rehearsal, backstage and onstage footage, as well as Noel and Liam’s first joint interviews in 20 years.
Don’t look back in anger…
“The Oasis world tour united generations, cultures and countries and spoke to a broken world about reconciliation,” said Knight. “Don’t Look Back In Anger is not only your ticket to the show – it’s a backstage pass and a seat at the table when Liam and Noel sit down together for the first time in 15 years and tell it how it is and how it was.”
Oasis played 17 gigs on the tour with tickets selling out so quickly and with such demand that saw fans paying hundreds of pounds above the face value due to the con that is “dynamic pricing” which was subsequently and rightly investigated by a government watchdog. We were fortunate to get prices at face value for 25th July 2025, the first night of the Oasis Live 25 gigs that they played at Wembley, and it was an exceptional event and was arguably the arts event of 2025 that will live with hundreds of thousands of fans who attended for the rest of their lives
The film will be premiering in Imax and cinemas in September.
