After the huge critical and commercial success of Paddington 2 with Hugh Grant stealing the film another sequel has been greenlit. So the Paddington 3 news or Paddington in Peru as its actually titled is coming to UK cinemas on 8th November 2024 -just over a year away! The US will get it on 17th January 2025.
Paul King who helmed the first two films has been working on the about to be released Wonka with Timothee Chamalet so Paddinton 3 has been directed by Dougal Wilson which has just completed filming on location in London, Peru and Colombia. And returning to their roles are Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, Olivia Colman, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin and Jim Broadbent with both Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton returning as the respective voices of Paddington and Aunt Lucy. Joining the cast is newcomer Carla Tous in the role of Gina Cabot. She replaces Rachel Zegler who is unable to join the film due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike,
