With a documentary on OASIS currently in production it’s just been announced that another musical icon is to have a film made.
Former Screen Star of Tomorrow Jack Lowden (TV’s ‘War & Peace’) will play singer Morrissey in a biopic from writer-director Mark Gill.
Lowden will portray the singer’s early life and has said that Morrissey was a “massive icon” of his.
Mark Gill, who was Oscar-nominated for his 2011 short ‘The Voorman Problem’, originally revealed the project titled Steven (after the singer’s first name) in 2014 and has written the screenplay with first time feature writer William Thacker.
