The Conjuring has been a hugely successful franchise and now Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return to film the final instalment in the series as cameras have just started rolling. Like the previous instalment, 2021’s The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, it will be director Michael Chaves who will helm the latest film. The Conjuring Last Rites begins filming and it is speculated that this movie will be based on the true haunting of the Smurl family, which occurred in 1986
Based on Ed and Lorraine Warren’s series of paranormal investigations, with James Wan producing for Atomic Monster and Peter Safran producing for The Safran Company, it is a co-production with New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. The Conjuring Last Rites begins filming with locations for the project including London and the shoot is expected to last for seven weeks.
