The Lost Boys remake…..

A favourite film from the 1980s was was the late Joel Schumacher’s The Lost Boys starring Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Alex Winter, Dianne Wiest and Jami Gertz. It’s story of two boys who move to a California beach town with their mother and get involved with a gang of stylish bikers who happen to be vampires  became a cult fan film that earned only $33m at the worldwide box office. There were two straight-to-video sequels and a pilot TV series had gone into production when the pandemic shut down but the network did not run with it. But now there’s to be a Lost Boys remake.

The Lost Boys remake......who will star in the remake of this 80's cult film?

It’s Warner Bros. who are planning to take another bite out of 1980s cult hit and this Lost Boys remake will star Noah Jupe and Jaedem Martell (who starred in the “A Quiet Place” films and “Honey Boy,) while Martell was part of the “It” movies ensemble also appeared in “Knives Out”. Directing will be Jonathan Entwistle will direct whilst Randy McKinnon will script the new version.

The soundtrack for The Lost Boys was a big seller featuring Echo and the Bunnymen doing a cover version of the Doors’ “People Are Strange” (why that was never the theme tune for any reality TV show is anyone’s guess) and INXS’ “Good Times” with Jimmy Barnes, plus songs by Roger Daltrey and Foreigner’s Lou Gramm.
