Leigh Whannell first came to attention with his script for ‘Saw’ that cost just over a million and earned over one hundred times that on its worldwide release and spawned to date a further nine films. Since then he has written the Insidious franchise and the recent excellent horror thriller, ‘The Invisible Man’ . But after its huge commercial and critical success we asked him about am Invisible Man sequel.
His clever script for the original film saw Cecilia’s (Elizabeth Moss) abusive ex take his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.
The first film cost a meagre $7m but earned a huge $144m so the studio would obviously be keen on another film. Leigh Whannell tells us about an Invisible Man sequel……
