The opening weekend haul for Five Nights at Freddy’s has been immense surprising even the filmmakers (Blumhouse) themselves with the near $80m it has made (more than 2018’s Halloween reboot also from Blumhouse) and rising by the day making it one of the most successful video game film adaptations to date despite extremely mixed reviews but a sequel seems almost inevitable. Quite how it would go forward is the matter of much debate by fans especially because of those loose ends in Five Nights at Freddy’s….

When asked about a sequel Tammi replied, ‘We’re all, including myself, very excited to keep making movies in this universe if we’re lucky enough to do so and this first one does well.
There are some unresolved story points that director Emma Tammi wanted to address. One of those is the presumed death of Mary Stuart Masterson’s Aunt Jane in the home of Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and his younger sister Abby (Piper Rubio), which would certainly raise some eyebrows given that she was challenging for custody of Abby saying , “We have some loose ends that I think are going to have to come back in a sequel to be tied up.”
With the issue of Matthew Lillard employing the older brother of one of his victims, Garrett. Did he just want the twisted trophy of killing both brothers? she said, ‘Ooh, to be honest, I think this is something that’s best left for fan speculation, because there’s a lot of room for interpretation with this one. That’s much more interesting than whatever my answer is going to be’.
So it would that those loose ends in Five Nights at Freddy’s will be answered in the sequel
