Bobcat Goldthwait is perhaps best known for his appearances in the Police Academy series as Zed. The seemingly barely in control of himself character was an extention of his stand up comedy persona and had audiences part laughing, part scared never really sure whether he was really like that or not. Truth is is that it was very different from his real life self and as he has got older he’s became a lot more mellow. Having directed a number of films as director Bobcat and Robin Williams made ‘World’s Greatest Dad’ a particularly dark comedy that’s well worth catching.
But Bobcat and Robin Williams had been friends for many many years that has stemmed way back when the latter had started his stand up career. We had the opportunity to chat to Bobcat in Ireland about his life and career part of which included just how he and Ribin Williams became such good friends
