Electra & Wolverine return for Deadpool 3 ….

With Deadpool 3 now shooting more news is emerging as who will appear but perhaps of most interest is that it has recently been announced that both Electra & Wolverine return for Deadpool 3.

It’s Jennifer Garner who played Elektra almost 20 years ago in one of the first of the female led superhero films in 2003’s “Daredevil” with Ben Affleck, which was a modest hit, and returned to headline 2005’s “Elektra,” which flopped earing only $56m. Garner jhas been quite open about her wish that both films had been produced by Kevin Feige as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “It’s such a shame, honestly, because once Kevin took over everything there was elevated: the writing, the direction, the comedy inside of the stories they were telling,” she said. “And I did not have that experience.”

As for Wolverine, Hugh Jackman had retired from playing the character after the 2017 film ‘ Logan’ (reviewed HERE) which went out on a critical and box office high having made $619m. Jackman teased that he’ll be playing more than one version of Wolverine in the project which is rumored to have a multiverse-spanning story that could offer closure to Marvel’s 20th Century Fox years and introduce Deadpool into the proper Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Added to this is Patrick Stewart recently teasing that he was told “to stand by” in regards to his potential involvement in the film too.

So all seems to be in place now for Electra & Wolverine return for Deadpool 3 which seems like it b=,might be a bit of a multiverse mashup if recent reports are anything to go by!

Deadpool 3 is scheduled to be released on 3rd May 2024.
