With the announcement of Taylor Swift’s concert movie having caused a stir that it had a studio bring forward the release of Exorcist Believer by a week to avoid a clash we now have the announcement of another concert movie by another pop leviathan with the release of the Renaissance : A film by Beyonce trailer.
The concert movie captures the opening show of the tour in Stockholm, Sweden to its grand finale tonight in Kansas City which was seen by 2.7M fans from around the world and has grossed over half billion dollars and unsurpisingly was the singer’s highest-grossing tour to date,
The films synopsis says, ‘It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim by International and U.S. media alike, Beyoncé’s outstanding performance during Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, acceptance, and shared joy. Its maximalist production welcomed more than 2.7 million fans from around the world, who travelled across oceans to enjoy Club Renaissance. Now, millions of moviegoers will get caught up in the Joy Parade, the monumental dance party that celebrates everyone’s right to be themselves, close to home.” Well, quite.
Commenting about Renaissance : A film by Beyonce the singer also posted the trailer on Instagram, with the caption: “Be careful what you ask for, ‘cause I just might comply.”
The movie is hitting cinemas in US, Mexico and Canada on 1st December 2023 with additional offshore cities to be announced. Additional global cities will be announced at a later date which are yet to be confirmed
