With the release of ‘Renfield’ Nicolas Cage in his dream role as Dracula and gleefully chewing the scenery we got the opportunity to chat to the film’s director Chris McKay about the making of the film.
Renfield is the story of Dracula’s henchman and inmate at the lunatic asylum for decades who longs for a life away from the Count, his various demands, and all of the bloodshed that comes with them.
After a jokey start Chris took us behind the scenes and told us abut Cage’s unusual take on the iconic vampire, getting Nicholas Hoult to eat real insects and a whole load of Easter eggs to look out for.
