Summering – TRAILER

It’s the 1986 film ‘Stand By me’, one of the best film adaptations of a Stephen King book that has one of the greatest end lines and a undoubted truism about friendship….. ‘I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Does anyone?‘  It’s that reminder of the long summer holidays with your best friends that never lasts into later adulthood and it is that end line that appears to be at the core of the, ‘Summering’ trailer.

We chat to the child stars of The Railway Children Return

Rather than a group of pre-teen boys instead Summering follows a similarly aged group of girls. During their last days of summer and childhood – the weekend before middle school begins – four girls struggle with the harsh truths of growing up and embark on a mysterious adventure.

The film stars Megan Mullally, Lake Bell, Sarah Cooper, Ashley Madekwe, Lia Barnett, Madalen Mills, Eden Grace Redfield, and Sanai Victoria in what look like some star making roles and the Summering trailer looks to feature the discovery of a dead body as did Stand By Me.

SUMMERING IS RELEASED ONLY IN CINEMAS ON 2ND DECEMBER 2022
