Who didn’t like Liam Neeson turn vigilante hunting down the kidnappers of his daughter using his ‘special skills’ in ‘Taken’ which reset him as am action hero? Well in a similar vein a man searching for this daughter is the subject of the action thriller, ‘The Rescue’.
What to expect from the The Rescue….
A former rodeo cowboy (Brandon Sklenar) takes matters into his own hands when his daughter is kidnapped for ransom. With her devoted dog by his side, he sets out to bring her home and will stop at nothing to find her.
A decent cast led by Brandon Sklenar includes Josh Lucas, Hassie Harrison, Lorelei Olivia Mote, Nick Searcy, Austin Amelio, Spencer Treat Clark, with Tim Blake Nelson, and Josh Duhamel. The film is written by John Fusco whose previous scripts include those for Young Guns and its sequel and directed by Potsy Ponciroli.
No confirmed release date yet but expect an early 2027 release
