The recent Limited Edition 4K release of the 2014 horror thriller It Follows has been such a success that a sequel has been green lit and so according to reports will be titled They Follows
The original film starred Maika Monroe as Jay Height, as a young woman who, after having sex with her boyfriend for the first time, learns she will now be hunted by a mysterious entity. The only way to temporarily stave off death is to pass the curse to someone else, who will become next on the list followed by the entity. The film grossed $21.9 million globally on a budget of around $1 million and a sequel has been in discussion for some years
Directed by David Robert Mitchell he will return to helm once more along with Maika Monroe starring again. No plot details have been revealed but sources suggest that it could involve people turning the tables on the entity and following it to its source. Production is believed to begin in 2024 for a 2025 release date.
