Actor Toby Kebbell has made a huge range of films that have included blockbuster ‘Kong: Skull Island’, Rise / War of the Planet of the Apes, Ben-Hur, Warcraft, Fantastic Four, War Horse & Alexander to smaller revered films such as ‘Rock n Rolla’ and critically acclaimed films such as ‘Control’ and ‘Destroyer’. Add to that the directors he has worked with include Spielberg, Oliver Stone, Ridley Scott, Guy Ritchie & Matt Reeves. But its his debut feature film in writer director Shane Meadows 20024’s Dead Mans Shoes that really caught filmmakers attention.
The film saw him play Anthony a man with with a mental disability who whose brother returns to his home town and goes after a gang one by one. The low budget film is hugely regarded and one of Shane Meadows best films and earned a slew of nominations.
Out now on limited edition blu-ray we had the opportunity to talk to him at length about a pivotal and demanding role.
