The pop star with an unerring talent to look like she’s about to attend a 4 year old’s fancy dress party (either that or she gets dressed in the dark) is about to get her first lead role in a film. She’s already cropped up in films such as ‘Sin City 2’, ‘Machete Kills’ and ‘Muppets Most Wanted’ and despite the ludicrous Cannes rumour that she was about to play Cilla Black it seems that she’s now in serious negotiations to play the lead in the umpteenth remake of ‘A Star is Born’. Well alright the fourth remake after the 1937 original, the 1954 version with Judy Garland and the 1976 version with Barbra Streisand.
The film was originally going to star bum-boogie-ing Beyonce but she’s dropped out to a ‘scheduling conflict’ and Lady Gaga was next on the list.
Best of all though is that as well as playing the male lead this will be Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut and if all goes according to plan filming will start in February 2017.
