There’s been a huge amount of speculation regarding just what Spielberg’s summer 2026 blockbuster is about? Well we now get a full Disclosure Day trailer and this has Spielberg himself in it explaining just what his hopes are and its far more than Close Encounters of the Third Kind
As the synopsis goes, If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people.
The cast is led by Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo. Based on a story by Spielberg, the screenplay is by David Koepp, whose previous work with Spielberg includes the scripts for Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Combined, those films earned more than $3 billion worldwide. Koepp also wrote the script for this 2025’s Jurassic World Rebirth. This also 30th collaboration between Steven Spielberg and John Williams (The first was The Sugarland Express in 1974).
Disclosure Day is in cinemas on 12th June 2026
