Since 2010 we have had five Insidious films with the most recent film being, ‘The Red Door’ back in 2023 which made a respectable $189m. Well now we have a sixth film, although its not called Insidious 6, with the release of Insidious Out of the Further trailer.
In Insidious: Out of the Further, Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in who discovers she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the heart of the Insidious universe. When something evil comes after her, Gemma discovers an ability that changes everything: she doesn’t just enter The Further, she can bring what lives there back to the real world. Once the demons realise her power, our world becomes their playground.
With an all new cast that is led by includes Amelia Eve and Brandon Perea and sees the return of franchise favourite Lin Shaye. But this latest film no longer sees writer Leigh Whannell involved and instead director Jacob Chase co-write with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick although James Wan is still involved as producer along with Jason Blum.
Insidious Out of the Further is only in cinemas on 21st August 2026
