Way back in 1995 we had a Sense and Sensibility film of the book adapted by and starring Emma Thompson alongside Kate Winslet and directed by Ang Lee and was nominated for a Best Film Oscar and Thompson won for best Adapted Screenplay. 31 years later we have a new version starring Daisy Edgar-Jones
Described as and irresistible new take on Jane Austen’s iconic Sense and Sensibility the film is a charming, witty, and deeply relatable story of love and sisterhood. That story is set in Georgian era England where wealthy Mr. Dashwood dies leaving his second wife and three daughters destitute. The ladies move to a modest cottage where the two older daughters vie for the attention of various suitors in search of true love.
