We very much enjoyed the first Equalizer film with a magnificently scary and psychotically violent villain in Martin Czokas and it earned $192m. For the first time in his career Denzel Washington made a sequel with a storm lashed finale that whipped up $190m. Rounding off the trilogy is the release of the Equalizer 3 trailer and having watched it the body count for this one looks enormous as he goes about taking on the mafia and along with Denzel Washington the film will co-star Dakota Fanning and David Denman
Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace is serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.
Rumours are that this is the end of the franchise as far as Denzel is concerned but with this films tagline being, ‘Justice knows no borders.’, who knows?
