So here’s a freaky bit of news that may have passed you by:

German news outlets are reported that on 14th July 2015 the actual head of famed filmmaker and “Nosferatu” director F.W. Murnau had been stolen from his grave.

Murnau died in 1931 in a car crash and was buried in a cemetery in Stahnsdorf, Germany but grave robbers opened his metal coffin but left the nearby graves of his two brothers undisturbed.

Police have found wax residue at the scene and suggest that it may be a possible occult connection.

“Nosferatu,” was a silent vampire movie released in 1922 remains one of the most famous early cinematic works ever made and was its expressionist style was highly influential with directors such as Hitchcock.
